Bartimaeus Shouts Louder — a 5-minute devotion for Bucaramanga families
Mark 10:46-52 · Ask for what you actually want
A blind beggar heard Jesus was passing and started shouting. The crowd told him to be quiet, so he shouted louder. Jesus stopped the whole procession and asked him one question: what do you want me to do for you?
Use this one on the Bucaramanga weekend, when there is room for a longer conversation. Read Mark 10:46-52, talk through the question properly, then write the memory verse somewhere everyone will see it on Monday.
Memory verse
“What do you want me to do for you?”Mark 10:51
Table question
If Jesus asked you that tonight, what would you say?
30-second prayer
Jesus, here is what we actually want. Thank you that you stop and ask. Amen.
Make it stick: let a child read Mark 10:46-52 out loud tomorrow instead of you. Reading it to the family is worth ten times hearing it.
Tomorrow: the rich young ruler (Mark 10:17-27). ArkQuest queues the next reading automatically, so nobody has to decide what comes after tonight.
On Mount Carmel, Elijah rebuilt an altar of twelve stones before calling on the Lord. What did the twelve stones represent?
