David and the Giant — a 5-minute devotion for Nepali families
1 Samuel 17 · Courage that comes from God, not size
An army stood frozen for forty days while a giant shouted at them. A shepherd boy walked out with a sling and five smooth stones, saying the battle belonged to God. One stone was enough.
This works best in Nepal as a bedtime reading. Lights low, 1 Samuel 17 read slowly, the memory verse said twice, then the prayer. Younger children fall asleep on "courage that comes from god, not size"; older ones usually want to argue about it first, which is fine.
Memory verse
“The battle is the Lord's, and he will give all of you into our hands.”1 Samuel 17:47
Table question
What is the giant you are most afraid of right now — and who is standing with you?
30-second prayer
God, the thing I am scared of looks much bigger than me. Remind me tonight that the battle is yours. Amen.
Make it stick: ask the same question again at breakfast tomorrow. Answers change overnight, and hearing that change is how a child learns that courage that comes from god, not size is something you practise, not something you know.

Why Nepali families use ArkQuest
5 minutes, every day
One story, one memory verse, one question. Short enough to survive a school night, repeated often enough that it sticks.
One plan, every child
Each child gets their own age band (4–7, 8–10, 11–14) while parents follow the whole family's streak from a single dashboard.
Works when the signal doesn't
Today's quest is cached on the device, so travel, data caps and patchy coverage across Nepal don't break the habit.
Priced in NPR
Rs599/month, billed locally, cancel any time. No ads and no chat inside the child experience.
