Mark 4:1-20 · Tending the soil, not just the seed

A farmer scattered seed on a path, on rocks, among thorns and on good soil. The same seed did four different things. Jesus said the difference was never the seed — it was the ground it landed on.

This works best in Bulindo as a bedtime reading. Lights low, Mark 4:1-20 read slowly, the memory verse said twice, then the prayer. Younger children fall asleep on "tending the soil, not just the seed"; older ones usually want to argue about it first, which is fine.
