The Good Samaritan — a 5-minute devotion for Teresina families

Luke 10:25-37 · Love measured in inconvenience

A man was beaten and left at the roadside. Two religious men crossed to the other side. A foreigner — the one nobody expected — stopped, bandaged his wounds, and paid for his care.

If mornings are the only quiet minutes your Teresina household gets, use this before the school run. Read Luke 10:25-37, say the verse once in the car, and come back to the question on the way home. Repetition is doing the work, not length.

Memory verse

“Go and do likewise.”
Luke 10:37

Table question

Who did you walk past this week that you could stop for tomorrow?

30-second prayer

Jesus, make us the kind of family that stops. Show us one person to help tomorrow. Amen.

Make it stick: let a child read Luke 10:25-37 out loud tomorrow instead of you. Reading it to the family is worth ten times hearing it.

Tomorrow: Mary and Martha (Luke 10:38-42). ArkQuest queues the next reading automatically, so nobody has to decide what comes after tonight.
